A life of sports, fitness and travel can pretty much sum up the World according to Jane.

Hi, my name is Jane Borman. I was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1963.
Starting at the early age of 3 years old, you could find me, “Swish Kid Jane”,
skiing the mountains of Montana, and skating in outdoor hockey rinks in North Dakota,
with my brothers. My real athletic interests began with gymnastics at 6 years old
which developed my competitive thinking, determined attitude and a heart filled with desire,
discipline and determination to be the best I could be. At Fargo South High School,
I was the first female athlete to receive 12 Varsity Letters (Diving, Gymnastics, Track & Field).
In college, I competed in springboard diving at Southern Methodist University for 2 seasons.
In the 80’s, with BIG Hair, I taught aerobics at Beauvais Fitness in AZ. It was these many years
in sports that shaped my mind and body to the person I am today.

After receiving a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University in 1989, I moved to California
to pursue a career in Sports Marketing, which led to an 8 year detour and career in fashion jewelry,
eventually, working for Christian Dior, one of the top designer houses.

1994 is the year I entered into the travel business with a part time job with Maritz Travel Company.
I quickly realized I had just entered into the most amazing time of my life,
as the world started to unfold around me. I was working as a travel director,
traveling around the world managing the operations of corporate incentive trips.
Eleven years with Maritz Travel Company and 2 years with ADI Meetings & Incentives.
I was operating, planning and selling meetings, events and incentives.

Before I new it, I found myself :

• Golfing Pinehurst #2
• White water rafting in Bali
• Bungee jumping in New Zealand
• Whale watching in Cabo San Lucas
• Kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland
• Swimming with the dolphins in Kona
• Drinking amazing wines in South Africa
• Carrying the Olympic Torch to Salt Lake
• Marching with the Penguins in Antarctica
• Walking the “Old Course” in St. Andrews
• Scuba diving with sharks in Turks & Caicos
• Swimming with stingrays in Grand Cayman
• Riding a felucca down the Nile River in Egypt
• Visiting the Rock of Gibraltar to find out it is hallow
• Speaking Swahili to the Samburu Warriors in Kenya
• Taking gondola lessons in Venice on the grand Canal
• Flying through the rainforest on a zip line in Costa Rica
• Eating pretzels the size of my head at Oktoberfest in Munich
• Riding on a bicycle pilgrimage to Santiago de Compestello in Central Spain
• Laying on the floor staring at the ceiling, on a private tour of the Sistine Chapel
• Jogging past the observatory of Galileo Galilei in Florence, Italy when I lived there
• Learning that Buda and Pest are two different cities separated by the Danube River
• Fishing for Nile Perch in Tanzania in Lake Victoria

Many times, I said, “Stop the World I want to get off”, but I kept going.
The people, the experiences, the languages, the culture, traditions, history….
I still am an open book wanting to learn more. I am blessed and filled with gratitude for what I have
seen and done. JanesWORLD is a way I can share those experiences with you and encourage
you to take that trip of a life time you have dreamed about, but never followed through with.

It is never too late to Live Your Dreams, Believe in Yourself and Travel the World.
